Trout fishing
Holland Lake is not a designated trout lake. You do not need a trout stamp to fish there, but anyone trying to catch trout or keeping a trout you catch, must have a trout stamp.
Trout Brook is a designated trout stream, and a trout stamp is required for anglers. Find out more about Trout Brook.
Anglers fishing the Cannon River in Dakota County do not need a trout stamp unless they are trying to catch trout or keeping a trout they catch.

The Minnesota DNR periodically stocks fish in Holland Lake, McDonough Lake and Thompson Lake.
