Over the past year, Dakota County has been updating the
2005 Miesville Ravine Park Reserve Master Plan. We've also created a new Natural Resources Management Plan.
An updated plan ensures that future investment reflects community needs. The draft plan includes a long-range vision for the park and a 10-year plan to guide future decisions about park activities, capital investment and natural resource restoration.
The Natural Resources Management Plan addresses restoration priorities and provides short-term and long-term management recommendations for the natural areas in the park.
Visit the project story map if you would like to learn more about the park.
Community open houses
Dakota County held two community open houses to gather feedback on the long-range plan and natural resources management plan. A virtual event was held on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023 and an in-person meeting was held Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023 at the Cannon River Lutheran Church.
