Skate-style cross-country skiing is not permitted on classic cross-country ski trails.
Cross-country ski pass needed
A cross-country ski pass is required for all skiers ages 18 and older to use the ski trails. The pass fee is due at the time of purchase. Purchase a cross-country ski pass.
The Minnesota Ski Pass is a separate program and is neither accepted nor required to use Dakota County Parks ski trails.

Rental equipment
Classic-style cross-country ski equipment is available to rent during the winter season at the Lebanon Hills Visitor Center in Lebanon Hills Regional Park. Get equipment rental information.
Trail grooming
Typically, frozen ground with a minimum of 4-6 inches of snow is needed to machine pack ski trails. An additional 4 inches of packed snow is needed for grooming set tracks for classic-style skiing. Due to a variety of environmental factors and conditions (moisture content in snow, wind and drifting, leaf litter on the trail, cross-country ski trail conditions change.
