The Minnesota River Greenway is along the south​ side of the Minnesota River in Burnsville. The trail is in place between Interstate ​35W and Cedar Avenue. Trail users can park at the Minnesota River​front Park Trailhead and enjoy views of the Minnesota River and Black Dog Lake (part of the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge). The trail takes users by the Xcel Energy Black Dog Power Plant.​​​​
