Lebanon Hills Regional Park is the largest park in the Dakota County park system. Containing almost 2,000 acres, the park offers miles of trails and many lakes for year-round outdoor sports, recreation and environmental education.
The Lebanon Hills Visitor Center, located in the eastern section of the park, offers park information, interactive nature displays, courses and programs, equipment rental and access to all the beauty the park has to offer.
Dakota County Parks is actively restoring more than 1,100 acres of prairie and forest within Lebanon Hills Regional Park and planting more than 3,000 new trees and shrubs.
Park closures for November deer hunt
All of Lebanon Hills Regional Park, including all trails, entrance roads and facilities, will be closed for an annual archery deer hunt Nov. 5–7, Nov. 12–14, Nov. 19–21; Monday, all day; Tuesday and Wednesday, 5 a.m.–noon.
Visitor Center closed Nov. 5–22
The main public area of the Visitor Center will be closed Nov. 5–22 for maintenance work. A park attendant will be available in the Equipment Rental facility located near the main Visitor Center. They will be available to answer questions, distribute trail maps and accommodate camper cabin check-ins during open hours.
Exterior bathrooms will remain open during this time.
Trail use changes May-October 2018
From May-October 2018, several trail segments north of Jensen Lake will be temporarily closed or reassigned during the Northern Natural Gas Easement Enhancement project. See a detailed trail map.
