Dakota County Parks established these rules to help make your visit a safe and pleasant experience.
The archery trail is governed by
County Ordinance 107 – Park Use and patrolled by the Parks, Lakes and Trails unit of the Dakota County Sheriff's Office.
General park hours: 5 a.m.–10 p.m.
Archery Trail hours: Sunrise–sunset
Archery season: May–November, weather dependent
General rules
To ensure all visitors enjoy the park, please be courteous to others and follow all Archery Trail rules:
- A pass is required to use the Archery Trail for anyone 18 years of age and older. A pass must be displayed in the vehicle or carried to be shown upon request. Failure to purchase a pass could result in a citation and fine.
- Archers age 15 and younger must be accompanied by an adult pass holder.
- Broadhead arrows are not permitted.
- Crossbow use is not permitted.
- The Archery Trail is designated for archery use only.
- Biking, hiking and dog walking are not permitted on the Archery Trail when the course is open.
- Controlled substances are not permitted on the Archery Trail.
- Retrieve lost arrows quickly within the 75-foot arrow search limit.
- Practice good sportsmanship and common sense.
- All visitors must abide by all other Dakota County Parks rules and Ordinance 107.
