The Dakota County Board of Commissioners appointed Angela Blomquist to the Dakota-Scott Workforce Development Board. Blomquist will represent the private sector.
Blomquist is senior manager of talent acquisition for Patterson Companies in Mendota Heights. She leads a team that fills more than 1,400 jobs annually across the United States. She and her team also lead an internship program, manage the global mobility program and assist with DEI initiatives. Her previous work experience includes 11 years in the pharmaceutical industry as well as other positions at Cargill and Medtronic.
Blomquist has a bachelor's degree in psychology. She volunteers for the Spring Lake Park High School Boys Soccer Booster Club.
The Dakota-Scott Workforce Development Board oversees employment and training programs in Dakota and Scott counties. It is a state leader in developing innovative programs administered through CareerForce locations in Burnsville, Shakopee and West St. Paul.
