The Dakota County Attorney's Office helps all victims and witnesses of crime navigate the criminal justice system by providing information, support and resources.
Our victim witness advocates act as a liaison between victims and prosecutors — they explain court procedures and victims' rights, provide case updates, offer emotional support and connect people to community resources. They also help with things like requesting restitution, writing victim impact statements and preparing people who need to testify in court.
For more information, contact the victim witness supervisor at 651-438-4471.
