Dakota County will start mailing 2024 property tax statements and valuation notices on March 11. Taxpayers who have signed up to receive electronic notices will get theirs via email. Property taxes are due twice a year. The first payment is due in May, and the second is due in October. Your property tax statement will outline the amount you'll owe for both payments.

You can also receive your property tax notices through email. With electronic notices, you don’t have to worry about losing paper copies. They can be stored easily on any computer.
