Dakota County sends every property owner a Property Tax Statement every March. This statement outlines what is owed in property taxes for the year. The first half of taxes is due in May while the second half is due in October.

Canceling electronic tax notices
If you currently receive electronic notices and want to withdraw from the program, submit the
Cancellation of Electronic Property Tax Statement Form by mail or email the completed form to
taxation@co.dakota.mn.us.
Look up statements online
You can look up current Property Tax Statements online.
- Go to the
Property Information Search
- Enter only your house number.
- Select your address as it appears below the search box.
- Click
Property Tax Statement.

Manufactured Home Tax Statement and enter the 11-digit property identification number. You can also call the Property Information Center at

For personal property such as billboards, airport hangars and utility lines, go to the
Personal Property Tax Statement and enter the 12-digit property identification number. You can also call the Property Information Center at
651-438-4576.

You can look up current Property Tax Payment Stubs online. Go to the
Property Information Search and enter your house number. Select your address. Then, select Property Tax Statement. You can also call the Property Information Center at

Changing your mailing address
If you own the property and did not receive your property tax statement in March, you may need to change where the county is sending the notice.
If you own multiple properties, verify you have updated your current mailing address for each one. To change taxpayer information on 10 or more properties, email request to records@co.dakota.mn.us.
