An "assembly" is any gathering of 300 or more individuals for a specific period of time at any specified location at any time for the specified purpose. Examples include, but not limited to, music, racing, political, promotional, sporting or social entertainment or other similar types of activities.
New trash, recycling and organics requirements in 2024
Large events must collect organics (food scraps) if they meet the following three criteria:
- The event has at least 300 attendees
- The event generates at least 1 ton (8 cubic yards) of trash per location
- The event generates food scraps in nonpublic food-preparation areas

Fees
The license fee is $332, payable by cash, check or credit card. Applications must be submitted 60 days prior to the date of the event or an additional fee of $183 is required.
