The Dakota County Law Library provides legal information to residents, attorneys, judges, and represented and pro se litigants that is vital to the justice system.
The Law Library utilizes the latest technology to deliver legal information and collaborates with organizations to maximize accessibility while avoiding costly and ineffective duplication of forms and paperwork.
Law Library has reopened
The Law Library (Hastings) has reopened. The initial reopen will start by appointment only. Please call the Hastings location at 651-438-8080, and we can help direct you to the services needed.
In Apple Valley, the public is unable to access the law library space at this time. Computers, printers, copiers, scanners and fax machines are available by appointment for public use through the Galaxie Library. Visit Dakota County Library's Use a Computer page for more information or call the Galaxie Library at 952-891-7045 to schedule an appointment. If you need legal guidance once you have access to a computer at your local library, please call the law library for additional assistance.
If you need access to Westlaw, you can schedule an appointment and come to Hastings, or you can call the law library to see if other arrangements can be made,
We will also be continuing the Family and Consumer Law Clinics via phone consultations. If you need an appointment for a family matter, please call 651-438-8080 or 952-891-7135. If you want to schedule a consumer matter, call 952-431-3200.
