Dakota County will host a Budget and Property Tax Open House Tuesday, Dec. 2 from 5–5:45 p.m. at the Dakota County Administration Center, 1590 Highway 55, Hastings. The open house will be in the second-floor lobby.
This open house is an opportunity for residents to:
- Learn about the proposed 2026 Dakota County budget and levy.
- Get information about how property taxes support county operations.
- Ask questions about their property taxes.
The open house will be followed by the Dakota County Board of Commissioners' Budget and Levy Public Hearing at 6 p.m. in the County Boardroom at the Administration Center. The board will vote on the final 2026 budget and levy Dec. 16.
