Visitors to the 2024 Dakota County Fair can learn about county services that help people travel near and far and ensure a high quality of life at home.
The county's licenses, passports, assessments and property taxation services will be highlighted in the “License to Discover" exhibit in the Government Building at the fair, which runs Aug. 5–11 at the fairgrounds in Farmington.
Adults and children alike will be able to interact with hands-on exhibits, win prizes and more.
County building events for the week include:
- A travel-themed giveaway
- An assortment of hands-on activities and exhibits
- Information on county resources
The Government Building will also include displays celebrating Dakota County's 175th anniversary in 2024.
The Government Building will be open noon–7 p.m. Monday, 10 a.m.–7 p.m. Tuesday–Saturday and 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Sunday. It is located on the corner of Dakota Way and Third Street, just north of the 4-H Center.
