Individuals who live or work in Dakota County can learn about recycling, hazardous waste, composting and more by participating in the Recycling Ambassador class this fall.
In-person classes will be held Thursdays, Oct. 5–Nov. 9, from 6–8 p.m. at the Lebanon Hills Visitor Center, 860 Cliff Road, Eagan. A $30 fee covers course materials and transportation to visit recycling facilities. Scholarships are available.
Once classes are complete, participants volunteer 30 hours putting their skills to work on individual projects or with other Recycling Ambassadors and county staff.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information or to register, visit the Recycling Ambassador Program page or contact Kirsten Wahlberg at 952-891-7595 or kirsten.wahlberg@co.dakota.mn.us.
