Visitors to the 2025 Dakota County Fair can learn about county services that support local veterans and their families.
Dakota County Veterans Services will be featured in the Government Building's Salute to Service exhibit at the fair, which runs Aug. 4–10 at the county fairgrounds in Farmington. Adults and children alike will be able to:
- Learn facts about local veterans and listen to recorded stories of their service.
- Get information on resources available to those who served.
- See where local veterans have served in the world.
- Play veteran-themed games that include a patriotic giveaway.
Visitors to the Government Building can also get information on other county resources, including private well water testing, recycling and more.
The Government Building will be open noon–7 p.m. Monday, 10 a.m.–7 p.m. Tuesday–Saturday and 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Sunday. It is located on the corner of Dakota Way and Third Street, just north of the 4-H Center.
