Local teens and young adults can meet with employers and explore career opportunities at the upcoming Teen Job Fair on Saturday, April 12 from 10 a.m.–12:30 p.m. at the Dakota County Western Service Center in Apple Valley, connected to Galaxie Library.
This free, in-person event is designed for youth ages 14 and older, providing them with career insights and direct access to local businesses hiring for part-time and seasonal positions. Parents and caregivers can also attend to support their teens in learning about jobs and career pathways.
In addition to employer booths, Big Ideas Mobile Learning Lab will offer a hands-on virtual reality career exploration experience in the skilled trades. Attendees can test out high-tech simulators for heavy equipment operation, welding and carpentry, giving them a realistic glimpse of these in-demand careers. They can also explore more than 30 careers using virtual reality headsets, immersing themselves in interactive simulations that provide a hands-on look at various industries.
The Teen Job Fair is a drop-in event, allowing participants to attend at their convenience. No registration is required, and all activities are free of charge.
