The Dakota County Board of Commissioners appointed Charity Weibel and Mike Toepfer to the Dakota-Scott Workforce Development Board. Both will represent the private sector.
Weibel is vice president of commercial banking at Old National Bank in Apple Valley. With more than 20 years of banking and investment expertise, she specializes in building and developing sales teams through tailored learning and motivational paths. Recognized as an emerging leader and the 2023 SBA Banker of the year, Weibel coaches and mentors new team members and lenders.
Toepfer is the chief operating officer at Cal-Tex Electric, Inc. in Prior Lake. He designs and implements business operations, establishes policies that promote company culture and vision and oversees the leadership team. Toepfer's extensive experience in the construction industry includes many years in management roles, giving him a broad perspective of employment issues.
The Dakota-Scott Workforce Development Board oversees employment and training programs in Dakota and Scott counties. It is a state leader in developing innovative programs administered through CareerForce locations in Burnsville, Shakopee and West St. Paul.
