County Project 26-67
Dakota County is working with the City of Eagan to create a safer corridor for vehicles, pedestrians and bicyclists. We will make roadway and trail improvements to Lone Oak Road (County Road 26) between Highway 13 and Interstate 35E in Eagan.
The project will reconstruct the roadway between Highway 13 and Pilot Knob (County Road 31) and construct a trail on the south side.
The project will also resurface and modify the roadway from four and five lanes to three lanes between Pilot Knob Road (County Road 31) and I-35E. This includes one through lane in each direction and a center left-turn lane. The width between the curbs will not change. Expanded medians and updated pedestrian ramps will also be constructed.

Access
Lone Oak Road (County Road 26) is closed from Highway 13 to Pilot Knob Road. Residents within the construction area will continue to have access but it may be limited to one direction.
During storm sewer work, there may be temporary access restrictions to driveways when the trench is near or in front of individual driveways. Project team members will do their best to notify affected properties prior to any restrictions
Access to the school is from Pilot Knob Road only.
It will reopen in October 2025. Traffic flow will be maintained at all times from Pilot Knob Road to I-35E, using multiple traffic control configurations.
