County Project 42-168
Dakota County will replace the traffic signal system and pedestrian ramps on County Road 42 at the Southcross Drive/Summit Oaks Drive intersection in Burnsville. These changes will help ease congestion and optimize safety.
The work will improve intersection operations and include:
- Installation and replacement of new traffic signal systems
- Changes to geometric layout of the intersection
- Pedestrian/ADA improvements
- Drainage improvements
Work will take place on the four corners and in the median. Traffic control devices and warnings will be placed in advance of construction.
Proposed weekly schedules will be posted on the website. The schedule is dependent on weather and can change throughout the project.
