The Dakota County Board of Commissioners is seeking qualified applicants to fill one vacancy on the Lower Minnesota River Watershed District (LMRWD) Board of Managers. LMRWD residents interested in being appointed to serve as watershed district manager may submit their names to the county board for consideration by submitting a letter of interest to serve on the LMRWD Board of Managers. Letters of interest should include name, address, phone, email, any relevant background information or experience, and express why you wish to serve on the LMRWD Board of Managers.
Letters of interest can be emailed to board.of.commissioners@co.dakota.mn.us or sent via mail to Jennifer Reynolds, Dakota County Sr. Administrative Coordinator to the Board, 1590 Highway 55, Hastings, MN 55033. The deadline for submitting letters of interest is June 12, 2026.
Managers on the LMRWD serve three-year terms. The appointed manager must:
- Be a voting resident of the LMRWD
- Reside in that portion of Burnsville, Eagan, Mendota Heights, Mendota or Lilydale within the jurisdictional boundary of the LMRWD
- Not be a public officer of the county, state or federal government — except a soil and water conservation district supervisor may be a watershed district manager
