On Tuesday August 3rd at approximately 9:45 a.m. Eagan Police and Fire Departments along with Dakota County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to Schulze Lake beach in Lebanon Hills Park, where a park visitor reported a body in the water. Soon after, the Eagan Fire Department recovered an adult male victim near the swimming area. Park security cameras captured a man matching the description of the victim exit a vehicle in the parking lot the afternoon of Sunday August 1st and walk toward the beach with a towel in hand.
The beach was closed for a short time Tuesday morning during the recovery but has since been reopened for visitors.
The identity of the victim will not be released at this time until confirmed and the victim's family is notified. The Dakota County Sheriff's Office is the lead agency and continues to investigate the incident.
