Dakota County wants to learn how residents are affected by a shortage of providers and staff in disability services. If you, a friend or a family member has a disability, and the shortage of support services and staff has impacted your life, you're invited to an upcoming community forum to share your experience.
There are two forum sessions:
In-person
Tuesday, April 11, 6–8 p.m.
Western Service Center atrium
14955 Galaxie Ave., Apple Valley
Virtual
Thursday, April 13, 2–4 p.m.
For registration information and to submit written questions, visit the Workforce/Provider Shortage Work Group page. You can also share your story by sending a link or recording to csapmo@co.dakota.mn.us.
Stories shared during the forum will help the county's Workforce/Provider Shortage Work Group. The work group is studying the shortage crisis to make recommendations to address the challenges and look for innovative approaches to improve community support for people with disabilities.
ASL interpretation will be provided at both sessions. If you need additional accommodations, email
csapmo@co.dakota.mn.us. The forum sessions are public and will be recorded.
