Dakota County is reconstructing Nicolai Avenue (County Road 91) from 210th Street to Highway 316 in Marshan Township. The purpose of the project is to improve safety, traffic operations and pavement quality.
The reconstruction will include the widening of shoulders, the installation of turn lanes and drainage improvements.

Access
Nicolai Avenue is to closed to traffic. The road will remain closed to thru traffic until fall. The detour for Nicolai Avenue uses Highway 61 and Highway 316. Access to residences will remain open throughout construction. However, access may be limited to only one direction.
Construction schedule

- Finishing filtration basins
- Seeding and blanketing those areas after completion.
The road is expected to be open by the end of the day today. There was a delay in installing permanent signs and guardrails, but it is expected to get done as soon as possible.
Road is planned to open to traffic prior to Thanksgiving (weather dependent)
