Dakota County conducted a
Rural Intersection Assessment to evaluate safety considerations at locations where a county road stops for another county road or state highway. The study included the intersection of 160th Street E. (County Road 46) and Goodwin Avenue (County Road 85).
A roundabout was recommended in the Dakota County 2040 Transportation Plan. The traffic volumes, vehicle crash history and the type of crashes observed support the recommendation for a roundabout intersection.
