The statewide primary election is Tuesday, Aug. 13.
Voters can cast their ballot in person on election day. Polling place hours are 7 a.m.–8 p.m. Eligible voters in line by 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote.

Return absentee ballots
If you requested an absentee ballot but have not yet returned it, it can be returned on primary day to the Northern Service Center or Western Service Center by 4:30 p.m. It can also be returned to the Administration Center or your city office by 8 p.m. It cannot be delivered to your in-person polling place.
If you requested an absentee ballot but choose to vote in person, simply discard your absentee ballot. You will be provided a ballot at your polling place.

Dakota County election results will be available on the county elections page after polls close. All Minnesota primary election results are at the Minnesota Secretary of State's elections page.
Register to vote
Go to MNvotes.org to check your registration status. Eligible voters who need to register may do so at the polling place on Aug. 13.
