Notice is hereby given that the public test of the tabulating equipment and electronic ballot marking device will be conducted in the Dakota County Elections Office, Suite 2300, 1590 Highway 55, Hastings for the March 5, 2024 Presidential Nomination Primary at the following times:
- Equipment for the following municipalities in Dakota County will be tested on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 1 p.m.: Castle Rock and Douglas townships and the City of Empire.
- Equipment for the following municipalities in Dakota County will be tested on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 10 a.m.: Greenvale Township and the cities of Hampton, Lilydale and Sunfish Lake.
- Equipment for the following municipalities in Dakota County will be tested on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 1 p.m.: Nininger and Marshan townships and the cities of Randolph and Vermillion.
- Equipment for the following municipalities in Dakota County will be tested on Thursday, Feb. 29 at 10 a.m.: Waterford, Eureka, Sciota and Hampton townships.
- Equipment for the following municipalities in Dakota County will be tested on Thursday, Feb. 29 at 1 p.m.: Randolph, Vermillion and Ravenna townships and the city of Mendota.
The testing is open to anyone who wishes to attend. The voting system will be tested to ascertain that the system will correctly mark ballots and count the votes cast for all candidates.
