Property Tax Statements

Page Content

Once a year the tax statement and valuation notice are sent together in mid-March. If a property is sold or purchased during the year a second statement is not mailed to the new owner.

Your statement will outline the amount you'll owe and the due dates.

You can also receive your property tax notices through email. With electronic notices, you don’t have to worry about losing paper copies. They can be stored easily on any computer.

Understanding your tax statement

There are four main sections to the tax statement:

  • Property Information: Details of the property including ownership, legal and property address
  • Property Notice Summary: An outline of the valuation and taxation process. It is found on all three property notices.  For more details go to the Tax Timeline.
  • Tax Breakdown: Shows the property taxes attributed to different taxing districts. Compares the amount for the current and prior year. This includes any credits received or special assessments added to the property.
  • Tax Payment Stub:  Provides payment amounts and due dates

View a Sample Tax Statement to get a more detailed description of the statement and line items.
