The Law Library locations at Hastings and Apple Valley have reopened. To maintain social distancing, our space is limited. Please call ahead to arrange an appointment at 651-438-8080.

You could experience some delays. Thank you for your patience and consideration during this time.

We will  be continuing the Family and Consumer Law Clinics via phone consultations. If you need an appointment for a family matter, please call 651-438-8080. If you want to schedule an appointment for a consumer matter or divorce forms, call 952-431-3200.

ZOOM CLEs are being held on the third Thursday on the month between noon–1 p.m.

Family Law Clinics

Meet with a lawyer for a 30-minute consultation about any family law issue (child support, custody, divorce/dissolution, legal separation, maintenance, parenting time, paternity).

Clinics are available by phone consultation by appointment only.

Clinic schedule

  • First Monday of the month, 1–4 p.m.
  • First Wednesday of the month, 1–4 p.m.
  • Second Wednesday of the month, 4–7 p.m.
  • Second Thursday of the month, 1–4 p.m.
  • Third Monday of the month, 1–4 p.m.
  • Third Tuesday of the month, 4–7 p.m.
  • Last Thursday of the month, 1–4 p.m.

Also, it is helpful to bring any current court orders and other paperwork that will assist with the process.

Consumer Law Clinics

Meet with a lawyer for a 30-minute consultation about bankruptcy, debt collection, garnishment, mortgages, foreclosures, conciliation court or other consumer problems. Must be a Dakota County resident.

Clinics are available via phone consultation by appointment only.

Clinic schedule

  • Every Tuesday of the month (except December), 1–4 p.m.
  • Every third Wednesday of the month, 1–4 p.m.

Divorce Forms Clinic

Need help with filling out paperwork? This clinic offers help with how to fill out divorce/dissolution forms.

Clinics are held at the office of Legal Assistance of Dakota County by appointment only.

  • Designated Thursdays, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
