A person with an out-of-county warrant can expect to be arrested, booked in the jail, and then given the opportunity to pay bail, post bond, or pay a fine. Once booked, the jail can accept bail or bond for the out-of-county warrant, if that is an option. Court Administration can only accept payment for Dakota County warrants.

Each county maintains its own Warrant Search database online. You can check individual county websites. There is currently no public-facing statewide database. If a person is booked into custody, staff can check for any outstanding warrants across the state and country.
