County Project 31-111
Dakota County and the City of Farmington are planning to construct a bicycle and pedestrian trail along the east side of Pilot Knob Road (County Road 31). It will be between Elm Street (County Road 50) and 195th Street (County Road 64). The plan will also address the trail gap on the west side of Pilot Knob Road south of 197th Street.
The project will eliminate the need for people to cross Pilot Knob Road to use the existing trail. It will also improve safety, mobility and connectivity for those walking or biking. The preliminary design effort will identify the proposed trail location, impacts and cost estimates, and gather input and feedback from the public. Results will help the city and county make decisions about future funding and construction of the trail.
Updates on the project will be posted here as they are available.
