You are not allowed to put yard waste like grass clippings, leaves, twigs and branches in your trash. Instead:
-
Compost yard waste at home
- Contact your trash hauler to schedule a yard waste pickup
- Bring it to a yard waste drop-off site
How to drop off yard waste
Put yard waste in a container you can empty and take back home, a paper bag or
BPI-certified compostable bag.
Do not use plastic bags for yard waste. Plastic bags do not break down and contaminate compost.
