Sending support payments
If you have an open child support case, support payments must be sent to the Minnesota Child Support Payment Center for proper credit. Do not send payments to the other party. Most court orders require income withholding. If income withholding is not available, payments can be made several ways.
Online payments
You can make payments using methods other than credit card at Minnesota Child Support Online.
Automatic recurring withdrawal
You can have payments withdrawn from a checking or savings account. Instructions on how to set this up are on the Minnesota Department of Human Services website. Complete an Automatic Withdrawal Form.

Payment processing times
- Payments received at the Payment Center Friday–Sunday are issued the following Monday.
- Payments received the day before state holidays are issued the next business day.
- Payments made via PayNearMe or MoneyGram may take 3-4 business days to post to your case.
Receiving support payments
Custodial parents have two options for child support payments:
You may be charged a 2-percent fee if money is collected. If you have an open child support case, do not accept payments directly from the other party.
