Sending support payments
If child support enforcement services are being provided, support payments must be sent to the Minnesota Child Support Payment Center to be credited to the case. Do not send payments to the other party. Most court orders require income withholding. If income withholding is not available, payments can be made several ways.
Online payments
Minnesota Child Support Online is an interactive website provided by the state to make payments by means other than credit card.
Automatic recurring withdrawal
Automatic-recurring withdrawal allows you to pay child support through your checking or savings account. Instructions on how to establish automatic recurring withdrawal payments are detailed on the Minnesota Department of Human Services website. Complete an Automatic Withdrawal Form.

Your employer has seven business days to send it in after taking the money from your check. We will work with your employer to set this up. Please contact us to report new employer information.
Payment processing times
- Payments received at the Payment Center on Friday, Saturday or Sunday are issued the following Monday.
- Payments received the day before state holidays are issued the next business day.
- Payments made via PayNearMe, MoneyGram or in person may take 3-4 business days to post to your case.
- Payments made via MoneyGram are issued the next business day.
Receiving support payments
Custodial parents have two options for receiving child support payments:
You may be charged a 2-percent fee if money is collected. If you have an open child support case, you should not accept child support payments directly from the other party.
