- Stay alert, expect the unexpected— especially at night
- Obey the posted speed limits
- Leave plenty of room between you and the car in front of you in case they stop need to stop abruptly
- Merge when directed to do so
- Don't change lanes unless you need to
- Don’t use cell phones while driving
- Be patient—expect delays during peak travel times
