Employee Resource Groups at Dakota County

Wondering if you will fit in? We've got you covered.

We have six Employee Resource Groups which are open to all employees. Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are voluntary, employee-led groups which are encouraged throughout our organization. The groups are formed of employees who might share a common identity or background or be an ally to the group (Someone who may not share the common identity, but are supportive of the group mission.). Employee Resource Groups help to connect employees and offer professional development and networking as well as help the organization with planning and deeper connections to the community.

Black Employee Network
The mission of the Black Employee Network is to foster inclusion and advancement of black employees alongside our allies by creating equitable environments, increasing opportunities for black employees at all levels, and creating a network of black professionals to provide a source of support within the organization.

DC WOMEN

PWHRD
PWHRD (pronounced powered) stands for Persons with Health Restrictions or Disabilities. The mission of PWHRD is to support the recruitment, retention and representation of persons with health restrictions or disabilities in the workforce and to work alongside our allies to provide support to those who identify as PWHRD.

Saluting Our Stars
The mission of Saluting our Stars is to identify, honor and support employees that identify as veterans, current services members, and/or their family members and to empower military allies with the tools they need to be effectual sources of support.

United and Proud!
The United and Proud (UP!) seeks to create a welcoming, inclusive and sustainable work environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) employees of Dakota County and their allies. UP! envisions a working environment where we can bring our whole selves to work.

Young Professionals
