The County provides services to all victims and witnesses of crimes prosecuted by the Dakota County Attorney’s Office.
As a victim or witness of crime, you have the right to be informed of and participate in the prosecution of your case.
Victim/Witness Program
The Victim/Witness Program, a division of the Dakota County Attorney’s Office, can help you through the criminal justice process. The program helps people understand their rights and the court process, obtain financial reimbursement through restitution from the offender or reparations from the state, prepare for a trial, get referrals to community resources and more.
