County employees, along with contractors, business partners and other support staff, are assigned a Dakota County user ID, password and email address to securely access the county's network. To get the most out of your county user account, please follow the instructions on this site.
County uses multifactor authentication
While users should always create strong passwords to their accounts, passwords alone aren’t enough protection. Multifactor authentication adds an extra layer of security because it requires a different MFA code each time you log in — a code that only you receive. This makes it more difficult for someone to access your account if your password is ever stolen.
