We are Dementia Aware Campaign
The West St. Paul ACT on Alzheimer's group is reaching out to help businesses and organizations in our West St. Paul community to become more dementia friendly.
We have developed a
“We are Dementia Aware" window cling and logo to show the public that your business or organization and staff are aware of dementia and are trying to help the community.
By sharing the short video links and handouts (below) with your employees and staff, your business will receive a “We are Dementia Aware" window cling for your physical locations and a logo for your website.
The top three businesses that have the most employees watch the videos and take a short follow-up survey will receive a $200 gift card for food for employees (paid for by Living Longer and Stronger).
Once you have shared this information and videos with your employees, please contact Jess Luce to receive the “We are Dementia Aware" window cling and logo for your website.
Businesses and employees and staff benefit by:
- Building awareness to identify persons with dementia
- Making your business a place of safety to support and assist people
- Helping your employees avoid uncomfortable or difficult situations
- Equipping employees to respond warmly so people feel welcome and valued
- Contribute to the work being done to create a dementia friendly community in West St. Paul
It will take about 10 minutes to watch the three videos and view the handouts.
Below are three short online videos for employers and their employees to learn more:
-
How does a person with dementia see the world? (3:35 min.)
-
