SHIP Funding, Reports and Resources

Current fund​ing opportunity

Dakota County public school districts are now eligible to apply for SHIP 2026 School Wellness Community Partner Award funds through Dakota County Public Health. Funding provided by the Minnesota Department of Health Statewide Health Improvement Partnership.

School districts are encouraged to apply through the save-as-you-go online application. The funding opportunities and application are also available in PDF format:

Applications are due Nov.​ 7, 2025​. ​

There will be a virtual information se​ssion on Monday, Sept. 15 at 3:30 p.m. Registration is recommended but not required to attend the info session.

In 2022 and 2023, Dakota County Public Health and Live Smoke Free worked with the City of Burnsville to gather data to inform smoke-free housing opportunities in the city. The Burnsville Survey Summary includes highlights from the 221 residents and six property managers surveyed.
