Dakota County provides limited assistance with funeral costs for county residents. Payments go directly to a funeral home or cemetery. To be considered, you must submit the request within 60 days of the person's death.
In most cases, all assets of the deceased must be used toward the burial costs before public funds can help. For more information about the county burial assistance program, call 651-554-5611.
