Farmers' Market Nutrition Program

The WIC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) was established by Congress to provide fresh, unprepared, locally grown fruits and vegetables to WIC participants and expand awareness of farmers’ markets.

Women, infants over 4 months old, and children who are certified to receive WIC program benefits are eligible to participate.  Locally grown fruits, vegetables and herbs may be purchased with Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program checks and WIC fruit and vegetable vouchers. Checks can be picked up during WIC visits.

Things to remember

  • WIC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program checks can be used from June 15 until Oct. 31.
  • Bring your Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program checks and your WIC ID folder to one of the markets listed below.
