County Projects 86-44 and 86-43
Dakota County conducted a
Rural Intersection Assessment to evaluate safety considerations at locations where a county road stops for another county road or state highway. The study included the intersections of:
- 280th Street W. (County Road 86) and Chippendale Avenue (Highway 3) within Castle Rock and Waterford townships
- 280th Street W. (County Road 86) and Randolph Boulevard/Emery Avenue (Highway 56) within Randolph and Hampton townships
Roundabouts were recommended for these locations. The traffic volumes, vehicle crash history and the type of crashes observed support the recommendation.
